How it works

Four steps
to online.

No config files or keys — everything you need to connect is already inside the app.

  1. Step 01

    Install the app

Pick the VPN that fits your needs and get it from Google Play.

  2. Step 02

    Allow the VPN

On first launch, Android asks for VPN permission. Tap OK — the VPN can't work without it.

  3. Step 03

    Choose a server

Keep automatic selection if available, or pick a country manually. Each app has its own server list.

  4. Step 04

    Connect

Tap connect and wait for the status in the app. A site won't load? Just switch servers.

Availability and speed depend on your network and server load.

No fine print

The honest part —
before you install.

A VPN is a useful tool, not a magic button. Here's what to know up front.

Free means ads

Free servers are supported by ads. Zapret VPN also offers in-app purchases.

Speed depends on your network

Your carrier, the distance to the server and its load all affect the connection. We can't promise it works on every network or in every country.

Each app has its own terms

Before installing, check the Data safety section on Google Play and our privacy policy.

Which app should I choose?

Want a VPN with zero setup? Go with Vless VPN or GW VPN. Want to decide which apps use the VPN? Choose Zapret VPN with split tunneling.

Is it free?

Yes. All three apps have free servers supported by ads. Zapret VPN also has premium servers and in-app purchases. Check the app and Google Play for current terms.

Do I need to sign up?

Not in GW VPN — open it and connect. In the other apps, follow the prompts on first launch: requirements may change with updates.

The VPN won't connect. What should I do?

Check your internet without the VPN, update the app and try another server. If another VPN is active on your phone, turn it off. Try both Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Still stuck? Send support the app name, your phone model, Android version and the error text. Never send passwords or access keys.

Is there an iPhone or desktop version?

This site features Android apps from Google Play. iOS, Windows and macOS versions aren't available here.

How do I route only some apps through the VPN?

In Zapret VPN, open the split tunneling settings. Allowlist: only the selected apps use the VPN. Blocklist: the selected apps connect directly and everything else uses the VPN. Reconnect after changing the settings.

How do I turn off the VPN?

Tap the disconnect button in the app. Or open Android Settings → VPN and disconnect there — the menu name depends on your phone model.
